I have a few photos of the teaparty that I had when my mother and sister were here at Christmastime. It was very simple, but it is always fun to pull pretty dishes out of my china cupboard and use them. I could definitely enjoy operating a teahouse.{in my spare time 😉 } This teaparty was extra, super simple because I asked my aunt, cousin, and sweet friends that were coming, to each bring a box of Little Debbie snacks. Everyone showed up with a different kind and it was fun to see the variety.
So, how about some photos and a few hellos to kick off a new week? 2013 will fly by too, I’m a-thinking…
Hello to cold weather swooping in again the end of the week…
Hello to back into school full force… Hello to a farmdate with my farmer man, there’s always things that need fixed on this farm…Hello to breakfast out and lunch at a pizza cafe… Hello to cleaning at the doctor’s office this week without my long-time cleaning partner and friend. She has enough else going on in her life right now and decided cleaning at the doctor’s office wasn’t a priority. I don’t blame her at all, but I will miss her.
Hello to an afternoon outing with my family to do a little shopping and looking at kitchen tables and at recliners…
Hello to cuddling our sweet, baby niece who is growing, growing, growing!! Hello to a family get-together with my mother-in-law’s family… Hello to playing games with cousins and friends and kiddos…Hello to sharing a HUGE piece of chocolate peanut butter cake that my daughter brought to her dad at the get-together. He asked her to bring him a piece and she came back with a very large piece. She set it down in front of him and in all seriousness she said, “I might’ve gotten it kind of big.” It was quite funny, especially since she was not doing it as a joke and really did misjudge how big she was cutting it. It was delicious. Mother, you should’ve been there. It was even large enough that you would’ve been glad to share it!!{Maybe ;)…it was really yummy too}
Hello to having a joke for you to share with your kiddos. My oldest brother-in-law was having a grand time telling this joke. Every time he would tell it, he would totally crack up. It was great just watching him. I have fun laughing at him. He’s funny.
Here’s the joke:
Vegetarian: An old Indian word that means Bad Hunter. Â heehee!
Hello to the first meeting of my Bible study group in 2013… Hello to finishing our study and getting ready for a new one…
What was the highlight of your week last week?
I think mine would include that cuddly, baby niece I mentioned.
Happy week!

Little Debbie snacks! What a great idea! I was just thinking the other day that I never use my good china. What a waste! Love how you used yours!

I love pretty dishes. I use them sometimes for just our family, but not as often as I could or should. 🙂
Little Debbies are fun now and then…and easy!

Oh that party was so fun! Wish we could do it all over again. And the pic of the white cup filled with ‘tea’ needs to be added to that pile I think you should print 😉
My highlight last week was probably the opportunity to contribute to a magazine! And getting some school done – school is so not what I want to be doing right now.

It WAS fun! and yummy…even though it wasn’t homemade. 🙂
I loved that particular photo too.
Yes, the magazine is definitely a highlight! I’m glad to be plugging through the school too. At least the getting it done part!
