This book has added a whole lot of fun to my summer! I’m on the launch team and that in itself has been great fun. I’m sitting here with post-harvest brain trying to remember if I’ve shared much about So Close to Amazing on my blog. I know I’ve shared it on my blog fb page and on Instagram via stories. I’ll go do a search.
I HAVE mentioned it. In this Hello June post and in this post here.
I have So Close to Amazing in e-book form, but you can pre-order your copy today. It releases on September 5th. AND there’s going to be a bunch of goodies for pre-orderers!!! Yippee!
I’m also co-hosting a link-up for So Close to Amazing that will open on August 21st. It’s going to be a great party too!
You’ll be able to link up your posts or pictures of So Close to Amazing. And hop around to visit everyone else’s!
So Close to Amazing is a super fun read. If you like to laugh and love to be inspired not to take yourself too seriously and have an empathetic heart for other people’s stories and feelings and emotions, you’ll totally be all about So Close to Amazing.
Here’s a couple of favorite excerpts ~
I read this post over on Kaitlyn Bouchillon’s blog about 15 can’t-miss-books coming this year. Some of them I already knew about and am excited about and I also found a couple I DIDN’T know about and was very happy to learn of.
Here’s a few of them ~
I’m really looking forward to GraceLaced’s book. Hop over here to get in on the pre-order freebies and offers. Freebies Available now!
YAY!!! I’m on the launch team for Church of the Small Things!! Big Mama is a favorite of mine. {She has a real name. Melanie Shankle.} Her blog is one of the first I ever read and she makes me laugh. She has a great sarcastic humor and tongue-in-cheek wit if you happen to love this sort of humor. I’m going to put an Amazon list of her books below. I happily own them all.
My son has been spending some hours in the tractor working ground and he came home with recommendations for radio broadcasts for me to listen to. I’ve downloaded the Focus Daily app on my phone because he told me there was this encouraging piece he thought I’d like. It made me laugh and also made me smile inside that he would think of me. Lo and behold, it was a broadcast with Karen Ehman talking from her book Listen Love Repeat. It’s called Engaging Others With Love, Kindness and Service.
{I have a post about Listen, Love, Repeat over here.}
Tucker also listens to Tim Hawkins a LOT. Definitely his sense of humor. Mine too, for that matter. Tim totally makes me laugh. I’ve taken to calling Tucker Tim at times.
SOOOOOOOOOO….the above story about his radio recommendation is sweet and dear and all the mama-heart things. Let’s move on to the total teenager story.
We have some two-way radios we’ve been using some. Tuc came home cackling the other night with a great joke to share with me. He said, “I was listening to you on the two-way radio and I thought, ‘You know? I LOVE listening to my mom on this two-way radio BECAUSE I can turn her off!!’ It was quite funny!! 🙂 🙂
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK!!!!! They’re painted!!! I’m so happy!!!

Deborah,
What a great round-up of uplifting books and radio channel. In this world, we need all the positive, encouraging words to counteract the negative. Thanks for being part of the SCtA linky party to spread encouragement even more.

We DO need the positive! I try very much to seek beauty and positivity and speak life, but I still get derailed sometimes by the negative and my own complaining.
