Hello to memories and happenings recorded from last week!
Hello Cream Cheese Chicken Chili served over rice! A new recipe I tried that was very simple and turned out pretty yummy.
Hello to seventy and eighty degree weather most of the week. It was sunny and beautiful, fall weather even though we still so badly need rain.
Hello to getting our dryland milo cut! Hello to my husband and daughter hauling a couple of loads of hay for a neighbor.
Hello to saying good-bye to some of the old doors in our old house. A neighbor took some of them to possibly use as props and signs in their store they recently opened. Hopefully it will turn out to work for the look they are wanting. Plus, it would be fun for us to see them used for something neat.
Hello to trying another new recipe! Upside Down Praline Apple Pie. While the recipe fascinated me and was really fun to make and try, it wasn’t quite what I was expecting. It was tasty, but I must’ve had too high of expectations, because it just didn’t end up being what I thought it would be.
Hello to joining in at 21 Days of Gratitude! Hop over there and join in on intentional gratitude each day and check out the blog posts that are coming up each day.
Hello to friends of my kiddos coming to stay, for the day, while their mama did some out-of-town shopping!
Hello to me having lunch out with some of my favorite friends for a birthday celebration for one of them and hello to our outing including chocolate!
Hello to some terrific deals at Dillons!
Hello to still waiting for our new niece or nephew to arrive! Maybe this week. Praying for baby’s safe arrival and a good delivery.
Hello to a lazy Saturday!
Hello to the third and final new recipe I tried last week! If you like chocolate and if you like brownies, I’m pretty sure you will like these. WARNING:You may not be able to stay out of them. Go check out the recipe! It calls for Ghiradelli chocolate and even though I enjoy using coupons and getting good deals on my groceries, I did go for the Ghiradelli. And the brownies were super-cali-fragi-listic! The first picture is an example of what happens when you forget to add in the chocolate chips before you put the batter in the pan. So, it leaves you sprinkling the chips across the top and punching them down into the batter. But, after you smooth the top with a spatula{second picture}you can’t tell that you forgot, so nobody knows, unless you tell them or blog about it. Tricky, eh?
Hello to watching the movie October Baby! I enjoyed it and it definitely stirred my thoughts and contemplation.
So that’s a few of the things I want to journal about our week! Did you have a blessed week?

We had a blessed and busy week and this one is looking like another busy ones, just busy in different ways. Glad to know the milo harvest is finished. Old doors as props sounds neat for a store. Your food all looks delicious, most especially the CHOCOLATE one. Love the pic of the reflection in the rear view mirror, really great. We saw October Baby, too, and thought it was well done with a thought provoking message.

I liked the reflection picture too. Except that pictures like that never quite capture the reality and beauty of the real thing. She looked so cute and my photo simply didn’t compare to the real thing.

I finally got around to making your gooey bars last week. I had 1/2 bag of butterscotch chips so I added those to the batter. Only problem was when I was nursing when they came out of the oven and I asked Ashton to put the chocolate chips on…he ate a “handful” so they were light on chocolate 🙂 Going to have to make them again the “right” way 🙂
