So, This Afternoon I Made Cinnamon Pull-Apart Bread

I like to bake.

Unfortunately sometimes. Maybe I would be skinny if I didn’t.

Oh well, isn’t there a saying, “Never trust a skinny cook?” :)

Cold weather and snow somehow just says baking weather, don’t you think? I do.

I flipped through recipes this morning, that I’ve printed out from here and there on the world wide web and came across Cinnamon Sugar Pull-Apart Bread.

I like to work with yeast dough and I thought this recipe sounded fun with its unique way of cutting the dough and stacking it in your pan to raise.

So, directly after lunch was over and the kitchen cleaned up, I stirred up the dough for this and messed the kitchen up again.

I set the dough to raise and did other stuff for an hour or so. Then I came back and rolled out my dough and buttered it and added the cinnamon-sugar and did the cutting and layering and placing it in the bread pan to raise again. It was fun. If you try this recipe, you can laugh like I did at the part where it says to cut your dough into six equal strips. Cutting anything into equal pieces has never happened for me. {It didn’t hurt the taste at all for the pieces to not be even.}{I’m sure the looks are probably better. The photos on the website where I printed this recipe can attest to that.}

I let it raise and then baked it.

And when it came out of the oven, I let it cool for a little, but not nearly as long as the recipe said. I flipped it out of the pan and we enjoyed yummy, warm cinnamon bread for a late afternoon snack.

It was a yummy addition to a sunshiny, wintry, snowy day.

My husband described it as a cross between cinnamon toast and cinnamon rolls. I think I would try it without the nutmeg the next time I make it. I like nutmeg, but for this I could go with just cinnamon.

I snapped some photos as I was making it, so I decided to sit down and share them here.

Hop over here so you can have an afternoon of making cinnamon bread too!

    Yummy! I want some – but I want you to make it cause you are much better with yeast stuff than I am.

      It has been forever since I had an elephant ear. I always go for the funnel cakes.

      It was delicious. I highly recommend planning to eat it fresh and warm from the oven.
